KaleidoShorts is the unique annual Short Films Awards night organised by Italian Nights and currently led by the Festival director Carlo Felice Imperato and Luciana Cavallo.
Everything started with the first event in 2006. A short movies night where the public, actors and directors of the films presented had the opportunity to mix, share ideas and exchange opinions.
A year later it became an international Short Films Festival that presented 6 movies split in two coveted Awards. The well known and loved format of public voting was introduced.
The members of Italian Nights select the nominees competing during the night of the awards. The winners for the twin-barreled accolades are then selected from the attending spectators through public voting at the end of the screening.
In 2009, the 4th edition of the Festival saw the number of compelling shorts screened to grow to 8. The films competed for Best International Short Film and Best Animation Film Awards.
KaleidoShorts is surely aimed at entertaining, while promoting intriguing works and this incredible form of art in its simplest and most sincere expression.
